Praia Verde is one of the few beaches that you can reach without taking a boat. Like all the other beaches of the Eastern Algarve, it is beautiful, long and sandy and you can walk for miles, especially if you go eastwards. In summer it may be difficult to find a parking space, but during the winter months it is one of our preferred places to go for a run or a long walk on the beach.
There’s a restaurant on the beach, Pézinhos n’Areia, which used to be a down to earth place with very good food and tables in the sand. After its renovation it has lost most of its charme and the music that is playing from the small loudspeakers on the wooden deck may even become annoying. Still, the outside tables on the deck are a nice place to have a drink and watch the magnificent sunset of the eastern Algarve.
